SMARTS Summer Institute registration opens January 1st each year. We encourage families to register early to secure a spot.

SMARTS Summer Institute is a Multi-Arts Program for children grades K-9.

This program offers students an intensive four week multi-arts experience...students are grouped by age.

Each group is assigned 2 group leader counselors to stay with them throughout the day.

SMARTS Summer Institute is 4 weeks long and is cumulative. Children work on projects throughout the month that lead up to an exciting final presentation. The first 3 weeks of the program have a set daily schedule.

On the final week of camp the schedule changes to allow time for rehearsing.

**We recommend all incoming first year 5/6 year olds attend the spring open house.

The open house date will be emailed to all registered families early spring.

Students explore:

Dance, Drama, Music, Visual Arts and Percussion through daily classes in each discipline.

Children must participate in all of the classes. Children will also participate in group rehearsals for the final presentation. We include daily outdoor play and unique activities (like theme days and open mics!)

Open mic information:

2-3 days a week we hold open mic at the end of lunch. Children can sing, dance, perform a skit, play an instrument, tell jokes and more! This is run by our performing arts staff and children are informed about this on the first few days of camp. Children who want to participate need to sign up with the assigned performing arts teacher in their room. Children are encouraged to practice for their performance.

Other details:

Children must bring their own snack, lunch and drink. We sell freeze pops and ice cream at lunch.

What parents are saying

"I am always amazed at the end of summer show knowing the work that has gone into it by the teachers and kids. You guys are remarkable. Thank you for allowing for our children to have a fun, safe, educational place to look forward to going to!"
