ARCHI-CAMP: Architectural Design Workshop

WHEN: February 21-24, 2012
WHO: For students grades 5-8
WHAT: Join Archi-Camp and stretch your creative thinking and problem
solving skills. Come and design your dream house! Create building
structures! Join others in designing a city. We will do all these things
and more using real world mathematics, manipulative and tools. We will
provide the drafting tools, the model-making supplies, and the Sim-City
card game. A sharp pencil, a good imagination, and a willingness to try
are all you will need to make your Archi-Camp week a memorable one.
Instructor: Susan Casey- Susan is an architectural specialist, teaches visual arts at Coelho Middle School in Attleboro, MA. Some of Sue's architectural design projects with students have been a creation of a 12'x9' high replica of a gothic cathedral with flying buttress and 3' steeple; and the design and creation of a three-dimensional model of 26 historical structures along a three-mile span in Attleboro.
